A Nuits-Saint-Georges topped the list.

Decelle & Fils in Burgundy is one of the forerunners of organic farming. The estate now produces some of Burgundy's finest appellations, including this Nuits Saint Georges. The 100% Pinot Noir spent 18 months in oak barrels to add the complexity and power that other appellations lack. In this case, 1/3 of the barrels are new, which adds a great deal of complexity, such as smoky, vanilla aromas. This ratio of new barrels to old barrels is a testament to the expertise and knowledge of the estate.
