The Hubert family has been established at Château Peybonhomme-Les-Tours since 1895 in the commune of Cars, near Blaye, and six generations have succeeded one another. The estate is situated on a hill overlooking the estuary, with the vineyard occupying its slopes. From its 17th century crenellated tower, we have an unrestricted 360° view over the whole estate and the Gironde estuary.

This Gironde, to which we are so attached, brings something unique to the estate, an oceanic climate and, acting like a mirror, a beautiful light on our Merlots, Cabernet Francs and old Malbecs. Forgotten for a while after the war, the (very promising) cultivation of white grape varieties has returned over the last ten years with Semillon, Sauvignon and a little Colombard. The latter, on our clay-limestone soils, have a beautiful minerality.
