British Fiona Beeston had 20 years of experience in wine, but not in a vineyard: she was a renowned wine journalist and trader in Paris, until in 2010 when she decided to make her dream a reality. With Clos des Capucins, she bought a 1.3 hectare vineyard, where she produces the red Clos des Capucins, based on Cabernet Franc. She also bought a vineyard two miles away, where she makes the easy-drinking Chinon from the same grape.
