Marc Barriot is an astonishing character and, without a doubt, the future "Star" of Roussillon because his wines are both very original but also very precise. Marc succeeds in the tour de force of producing wines with freshness and minerality in a region known for its rich, often "heavy and cooked" wines. Marc Barriot's wines are the complete opposite of this cliché. All the cuvées are vinified with indigenous yeasts and completely sulfur-free. There is also no addition of Sulfur to the bet. Despite this, the wines present a rare purity and perfection which testify to the extreme care that Marc takes in the vineyard as well as in the cellar. Each vintage is a new creation and a new surprise for wine lovers who touch the soul as much as the palate! Marc works with most of the southern grape varieties (Macabeu, Grenache gris and Muscat for the whites; Syrah, Carignan and Grenache noir for the reds). His sense of humor is confusing but so nice ... we find him through his labels which are not lacking in creativity. Marc is clearly an "artist of wine" and therefore ranks, quite logically, in our limited category of "free authors". He works biodynamically on the volcanic and schist terroirs of the Catalan country.
