Domaine de Longère
Régine et Jean-Luc Longère
The small size of the family estate (five hectares) allows them to do this. They take care of everything: vine growing, vinification and maturing of our different vintages, bottling and marketing. The harvest period (manual) is an exception and requires "reinforcements. For this important moment, about 20 people come to join the couple, to share the work, the meals .... and the evenings! The winery is "multicoloured" since they produce white wines (from the Chardonnay grape variety), rosés and reds (from the rare Gamay grape variety). They also produce some bubbles. A real "challenge" in terms of winemaking.
A little bit "ecologist", the couple felt very early (1987.... a quarter of a century!) in the idea of limiting the interventions to the maximum and work (successfully) to restore a natural balance in the vineyards of our Beaujolais hillsides.
