Le Cellier des Cray covers 6.5 hectares of vines spread over several plots around the town of Chignin, and sometimes on steep or even vertiginous slopes. A human-sized estate, Adrien Berlioz himself works his vines in organic farming and Demeter-certified biodynamics. The soils of Cellier des Cray are clay-limestone (Cray). Depending on the proportion of limestone, each plot is different: this brings a real singularity to the wines of the estate, available in plot vintages and each expressing the terroir with brilliance and fidelity.
