Markus Altenburger
Markus Altenburger
Markus Altenburger likes to admit that he prefers to do as little as possible in his Austrian vineyards: he has his wines do all the work. The roots of the vines, for example, have to toil deeper and deeper into the poor flanks of the Leithaberg in search of food. Markus also leaves all the work to the grapes during ripening and fermentation. The result is absolutely honest: natural wines that translate the terroir and the cool climate aspect through and through.
