Iole Rabasco vineyard is located in Pianella, in the province of Pescara in the heart of Abruzzo, between the Adriatic coast and the Gran Sasso mountains. This south-western vineyard, which has never been treated with chemicals, is located 40 km from the Adriatic coast, near the Gran Sasso mountain range, at 450 metres above sea level. Characteristic are the calcareous clay soils with the presence of fossils. The vines are trained on pergolas, which creates a microclimate within the vineyard. This makes it possible to make fresh wines, even considering the altitude and the presence of the sea.
