El Berrakin

This is the entry-level cuvée of Daniel Ramos, an Australian Spaniard who fell in love with the old Garnacha vineyards in the high plains around Madrid. Garnacha needs heat but the altitude provides cool nights, allowing the grapes to ripen beautifully. In the nose, we find ripe strawberries, plums and some spicy notes. The mouth is fleshy and full with nicely structured tannins. Grilling and Garnacha!
