Kaufmann Hallgarten Pinot Noir +++

Kaufmann is a new star in the German sky and is betting on precise wines. The Rheingau is not so well known for its Pinot Noir, except those from Assmannshousen, but Urban is convinced Pinot Noir is eminently suitable. These first layers play a supple game of fruit and structure. Fresh cherries on the nose, complemented by a slight spiciness and some smokiness from the wood. Can be drunk already but enjoys several years in the cellar.
