Stefan Meyer
Stefan Meyer
Stefan Meyer is a young ambitious winemaker who dared to put his own stamp on his grandfather's family business. He values sustainability and expresses this in the purity of his offerings. The wines are approachable and demonstrate a no-nonsense vision that is reflected in quality.
After years of following closely behind his predecessors, Stefan Meyer now manages a 16-hectare estate in Rhodt, a hamlet in the Southern Palatinate. He was also given the freedom to completely shape the ins and outs of this to his liking, and introduced a number of changes and investments. He aims to create a domain that fully reflects his vision of winemaking, and he is succeeding. According to him, wine is about everything that makes it unique, and he wants to turn that into pure drinking pleasure, without too many frills. Stefan grows a raft of grape varieties, from Riesling to Pinot Noir to Weissburgunder. His wines are very varied with an interesting finesse each time.
