The Tenuta Cucco vineyards stand on the most ancient portion of the very ancient territory of Barolo, implying another important privilege: an ideal altitude (about 420 masl) which ensures the best temperature for the ripening of the grapes, bringing out the tannins of Nebbiolo, while ensuring the best temperature range, which is fundamental for the ripening of the grapes.
Starting in 2015, Tenuta Cucco has been managed in accordance with the principles of organic agriculture, and it was certified organic in 2018. Given our experience at La Raia, our winery in the Gavi hills where we produce Gavi and Barbera biodynamic, we felt this was an inevitable choice.
